Alison Harp relocated to Anderson South Carolina in 2014, after living the majority of her life in Southern New Hampshire. Alison's experience with horses started as a toddler and continues to present day. Her passion lead her to become a certified instructor with NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) and CHA (Certified Horseman's Association) with 27 years of experience teaching students. Alison found herself drawn to specializing with those with disabilities such as physical or mental handicaps. No child or adult is excluded from the many benefits of horseback riding. Her focus is on teaching safety, patience, and horsemanship skills that will allow each of her students to carry on a life time of memories.
Lessons are offered every day of the week including weekends. Sessions are 30 to 60 minutes long. Typically semi private to private depending on the students needs. English offered beginner to advanced. Can provide western at beginners level. Each student will learn horse safety, grooming and basic horse care needs along with riding skills. Helmets provided. Students must arrive in long pants and closed toed shoes for lessons. Volunteers are on hand to provide the safest environment in and out of the arena.
